Graduate Structural Engineer
The chosen applicant will work closely with a senior Structural Engineer and other project Design Engineers and Technicians in the design and management of a wide range of new build projects.
Graduates will be trained in the use of various finite element software analysis and design packages (ETABS, Autodesk Robot, RAM Structural System, RAM Concept, CSC Tedds), and will be trained to use hand calculations for scheme design and design verification.
Graduates will learn how to efficiently analyse large scale projects and be taught how to produce economic designs for building elements. With time they will learn to manage the production and updating of project drawings to reflect their design through working closely with the Revit / CAD Technicians / RC detailers. They will also liaise with external members of the design team and attend meetings and site with senior members of staff when required.
To be considered for this role, you should have an excellent academic background, with a degree from a top UK university in Structural Engineering with a 2.1 or above and high A level grades.
