Voids and Insurance Works Supervisor – Social Housing (Temp Ongoing)

One of our social housing clients are looking for a Voids and Insurance Works Supervisor within their contract based in North London on a temp ongoing basis.

This role is working as part of the Voids Team and also the Insurance Works coverage and will require you to be diverse in your management approach across both contracts. This role will see the post holder manage a team of various subcontracts (Multi Trades, Electricians, Plumbers etc) to ensure works are carried out on a day to day basis within a set time frame. On the voids contracts the ideal candidate will ensure the turnaround of void properties are kept within the dedicated dates or prior to reduce the level of overdues across the contract to ensure properties are returned to tenants. The insurance works coverage will see the ideal candidate ensure subcontractors are accurately allocated to repairs and maintenance works within a set time frame against the clients SLA with the Insurance companies to tenants properties.

This role will be managing a number of subcontractors alongside in-house staff members including Planner/Schedulers, Administrators and ocassional inhouse maintenance operatives. You will be will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the contract including budgetary management to ensure works are carried out within the set price agreed with the end client. Knowledge of SOR codes are advantageous.
You will also be responsible for running weekly and monthly reports both inhouse and for the client to update on works progress and ensure you are working effectively and against the SLA. You will be responsible for using your initiative on a daily basis, working against tight deadlines and be able to problem solve. Computer literacy is key for this role due to additional administrative duties and email correspondence between tenants, the end client and 3rd parties on a daily basis, You will be provided with a laptop for this role and also desktop for when you are in the office.
Ideally you will have worked within a similar management role and be knowledgeable within the social housing/voids/repairs and maintenance sector due to fast paced nature of the role.

This role is mainly office based but also requires you to be mobile to visit void sites/works. You will need to hold a valid UK Drivers Licence as you will be provided with a van and fuel card.

This role is working Monday-Friday 7.30am-5pm with 1 hour for lunch. Weekends may be required as overtime. Rate of pay up to £36,000 PA.

This role is initially temp ongoing but may then go on to a Fixed Term Contract. We are looking to have someone in place Late March 2019.
