One of our large social housing contractors based in West London are looking for a well-rounded and motivated Repairs/Trades Supervisor to work on an award- winning contract on a temp to perm basis.

This role is working as part of the reactive maintenance team and will require you to manage to team in an effective and deliverable way to which keeps up with our clients high standards. The role will see the post holder manage a team of trades subcontractors and direct trades operatives (Plumbers, Carpenters, Electricians etc) to ensure works are carried out on a day to dat basis within a set time frame. The role will see the ideal candidate ensure subcontractors are accurately allocated to repairs and maintenance works within a set time frame against the clients SLA to tenants properties. You will aso be responsible for running tool-box talks weekly to direct operatives to ensure health and safety is upheld on site and offsite at all times.

This role will be managing a number of subcontractors alongside in-house staff members including Planner/Schedulers, Administrators and in-house maintenance operatives. You will be will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the contract including budgetary management to ensure works are carried out within the set price agreed with the end client. Knowledge of SOR codes are advantageous. As this is a reactive repairs and maintenance contract, the role will be very fast paced and require exceptional organisation. You will also be responsible for running weekly and monthly reports both in-house and for the client to update on works progress and ensure you are working effectively and against the SLA. You will be responsible for using your initiative on a daily basis, working against tight deadlines and be able to problem solve. Computer literacy is key for this role due to additional administrative duties and email correspondence between tenants, the end client and 3rd parties on a daily basis, You will be provided with a laptop for this role and also desktop for when you are in the office. Ideally you will have worked within a similar management role and be knowledgeable within the social housing/voids/repairs and maintenance sector due to fast paced nature of the role. A background in a trade ie, carpentry, plumbing, plastering etc is highly advantageous. This role is mainly office based but also requires you to be mobile to visit void sites/works. You will need to hold a valid UK Drivers Licence as you will be provided with a van and fuel card.

This role is working Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with 1 hour for lunch. Weekends may be required as overtime. Rate of pay up to £36,000 PA. This role is initially temp to perm and a permanent contract might be offered after a 3 month probation period. We are looking to have someone in place Early August 2019.
